Short bio
Anastasiia Krushynska is an Assistant Professor at the University of Groningen in the remit of metamaterials, phononics, wave physics, and additive manufacturing more generally. Her research background is based on acoustic wave dynamics and materials engineering using the architectural principles of metamaterials. She joined the University in May 2019 after being an MSCA fellow at the University of Turin, a post-doc at Eindhoven University of Technology, and a visiting researcher at the Universities of Trento and Le Mans.
Her research focuses on exploring fundamental relations between material and its architecture and developing various applications of metamaterials. Her papers are published in renowned journals, including Advanced Functional Materials, Physical Review Letters, Applied Physics Letters, Journal of Mechanics and Physics of Solids, New Journals of Physics, etc., with some of them highlighted in the news and press releases. She serves as an associate editor in several journals, as a reviewer for 75+ international peer-reviewed journals and several international conferences, and as an external referee of the European Commission and five national research funding agencies.
